A soft reset. A gentle lightening. A simple detox.

spring detox green soup with peas and fresh herbs in a bowl. Healthy green detox soup for spring cleansing.

Spring is asking you to l i g h t e n.

Not restrict.

Not punish.

Not over-cleanse.

Just… shift.

🌱Spring is not about forcing a cleanse, it's about lightening with the season.

It’s about letting go naturally.

The heaviness of winter…

The slow mornings…

The extra density in your body…

All of it is ready to move

This spring detox green soup is your bridge.

Light. Bright. Digestible.

Grounding and energizing.

This is how we cleanse without depletion.

Spring Detox Green Soup

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or ghee

  • 2 small zucchinis, chopped

  • 2 celery stalk, chopped

  • 3 cups spinach (or your favorite leafy green you prefer. Ex: kale, chard, watercress, etc.)

  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger

  • ½ tsp ground coriander

  • squeeze of fresh lemon or lime (to taste)

  • 2-3 cups veggie broth or bone broth (I like the brand Kettle & Fire)

  • salt + black pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ins & Adjustments

  • 1 avocado or 1/4 cup coconut cream if you want it creamier

  • Add quinoa or rice if you want it heartier

  • Add protein if you want it heartier and protein forward (chicken, tofu, tempeh)

  • Skip raw toppings if digestion feels sensitive

  • Go heavier on lemon or lime if you want more brightness (I squeeze 1/2 a lime into my bowl once it's served)

  • Add chili flakes or jalapeño if you want more heat + stimulation

Instructions

  1. Warm the olive oil or ghee in a pot.

  2. Add ginger + coriander. Let it bloom in the oil for ~1 minute.

  3. Add zucchini, celery, and peas. Cook 4–5 minutes.

  4. Add greens + broth. Simmer 5-7 minutes until soft.

  5. Pour into Blender (or use immersion blender). Blend until smooth (2ish minutes).

    1. I like to pull 1/2 of the zucchini, celery, and peas out and put aside before blending so that my soup has texture to chew!

  6. Then place everything back into the pot - blended soup + veggies you pulled out.

  7. Ladle this into your favorite bowl.

  8. Finish with lemon (or lime for Pitta Dosha), salt, & pepper to taste.

Pro Tips for ultra deliciousness

  • Blend longer than you think (1–2 full minutes)→ this creates that creamy texture without dairy

  • Add lemon after blending→ keeps flavor bright, not bitter

Sip slowly and savor.

Let your body delight in the brightness & vibrancy!

Ayurvedic Notes

This Spring Glow Green Soup is perfect for Spring kapha-balancing magic:

  • Light + warming → reduces heaviness

  • Bitter greens → support natural detox pathways

  • Ginger + spices → ignite digestion (agni)

  • Lemon or lime → wakes everything up

Again...It’s not about detoxing more or harder.

It’s about creating lightness & flow again, after building all winter.

If you’ve been feeling:

  • puffy

  • sluggish

  • foggy

  • unmotivated

  • heavy

  • sad

This is your sign it's time to lighten & brighten.

Not to restrict.

Not to punish yourself.

But to simplify & lighten gently.

Listen to your body. Always.

Your body knows.
