How to Reduce Stress, Sleep Better, and Heal Yourself Naturally
There are so many trends about diet and lifestyle, endlessly pouring into pop culture--the end-all, cure-all, be-all of diets. Keto, paleo, intermittent fasting, low-fat, Mediterranean, Atkins, Weight Watchers, etc. They claim to fix all your problems and help you lose the unwanted weight so that you never have to worry again. But if this is true, then why are there always new diets coming out to cure the same thing the last trend was meant to cure?
The fact is, we all have different body types, different needs, different energy output, different goals, and different conditions we experience. We also have different phases of life that we’re in, different hormones, different climates we live in, different seasons depending on where we are in the world, and so on.
One diet or regimen might work for some people, but might be the exact opposite of what another person needs. When a diet or regimen fails for one person while it helps another person thrive, our minds automatically go to comparison and then comes the thought...“what’s wrong with me?” This is VERY DAMAGING in so many ways. Trends are a product of capitalism, when you think something is wrong with you, there is a product to sell so that you can be fixed. But you don’t need to be fixed. You just need to understand your own body and mind, and the nutrition and activities you need to truly thrive.
Ayurveda is an incredible system that takes the INDIVIDUAL into consideration--your age, your climate, the season you’re in, your unique mind-body type (dosha), and the conditions & symptoms you’re experiencing. Once this is known, the path of health and healing can be paved. There is no one size fits all. We are unique, and therefore we have our own unique way of balance
